Los Angeles & Orange County Building Trades Council

Mission Statement

Founded in 2017, the mission of the Los Angeles/Orange Counties Building and Construction Trades Council – Apprenticeship Readiness Fund is to support and sustain quality MC3 Apprenticeship Readiness Program throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

Trades for Tomorrow:
The Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3)

The Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3) is a comprehensive apprenticeship readiness curriculum. It was developed and approved by the Building Trades National Apprenticeship and Training Committee, with input by all affiliate Apprenticeship Programs of the North America’s Building Trades Unions. All Apprenticeship Readiness Fund – Apprenticeship Readiness Programs (ARPs) utilize the MC3 a standardized, comprehensive, (minimum) 120-hour construction course along with hands-on training, and a physical fitness component to ensure that participants get a true understanding of the hard work and reward of a career in union construction. All ARPs have been chosen by the Building Trades Council to deliver the MC3, and it is the work of the Apprenticeship Readiness Fund to provide support to ensure these programs are successful in creating the Building Trades’ workforce of the future
