Brian Germain
Program Coordinator
Brian Germain brings a lifelong commitment to workforce development and a passion for building access to good, union careers. He began his journey in the union construction trades in 2004 and completed his apprenticeship in 2009. In 2015, Brian stepped into leadership as an Organizer for Sheet Metal Workers’ Local Union 105, where he focused on upholding industry standards, expanding union membership, and improving working conditions across Southern California.
Over the years, Brian has worked closely with the LA/OC Building and Construction Trades Council and other affiliated unions to advocate for fair, family-sustaining construction career opportunities. His experience recruiting and mentoring workers gives him a deep understanding of the barriers individuals face when entering the trades and the support they need to thrive.
As Program Coordinator for the Apprenticeship Readiness Fund, Brian applies this experience to help shape and support pathways into union apprenticeships. He is focused on building strong partnerships, supporting program delivery, and ensuring participants have the tools, resources, and guidance necessary to begin successful careers in the construction trades. His dedication to equity, opportunity, and long-term career success continues to drive his work every day.
